It starts with pain
Followed by hate
Fueled by the endless questions
No one can answer
A stain
Covers your heart
Tears you apart just like a sleeping cancer

Now I don't believe men are born to be killers

What kind of world do we live in?
I start to ask myself that question more and more everyday. It's like I only hear bad news. More people dead. Slaughtered. Hurt. 
Last Thursday a girl of just 14 years old went missing in a town nearby. A few days later another 14 year old girl in the same area went missing and was found dead the same day. Murdered. The girl that went missing on Thursday is still not found. A lot of people are out looking for her together and they found a second body... They are not sure yet if it's the girl, but it could be. 
Then another terror attack in London yesterday... it makes me sick. This world seems to get colder by the day and sometimes it just makes me feel so small and useless. 
I feel so sorry for all the families who lost their child, their father, their mother, their sister... I hope they will find a way to live with it. I can only imagine how hard it must be for them.

I have barely been so emotional while painting. This painting really came straight from my soul. I started with a reference and a blank page. I used no sketch, no lines... I just started coloring. Something I usually don't do. 
Maybe you recognize the girl I painted. It's Siyah, one of my original characters. She endured a lot as a child and even now her past is still haunting her. It made me able to really put all my sadness, anger, and disbelieve in this painting.  

I listed to World so Cold by 12 Stones while painting this. I think it suits the painting and the situation really well.
