Part 3 from 'The battle of Niatara'

Cascada just couldn't look at it any longer. She knew she had to help, but she just couldn't face Hegon again, she couldn't. She went back to her lake where it was very quiet as always. But there was one sound... softly between the bushes. She stood still and looked. Then the swishing stopped. 'I heard you, who's there?' She said calmly.
Then the creature showed himselve...

Story:
It was a horse who came out of the bushes. 'Desperado' said Cascada. 'What are you doing here? shouldn't you be helping your friends?'
'I don't have any friends. Wait... Who are you? and how do you know my name?'
'I know everyone on this island.'
'Ok... but who are you?'
'I'm Cascada. One of the eternal fairies of this island or what's left from her...'
'I've heard from you! You have control over the waters of Niatara.'
'That's right. I've a question for you. Why are you here? Why aren't you fighting in the war Desperado?'
'I ran away... because... I'm to afraid to fight. I can't fight, I didn't even participate in the training sessions.'

The two horses stood beside Cascada's lake. The lake gave light because Cascada was connected with her lake. On the shore were growing little blue flowers. They were also giving light. Not very much, they were more glowing actually.

'Please Desperado, go into the lake.'
'Are you out of your mind? I'll drown!'
'No you won't. See, the water looks very deep for you, because fear's controlling you but you have to believe me. You have to trust me. I know you trust almost nobody but please, trust me, just a single time.'
Desperado doubted. Could he really trust her? He had not trusted anybody in his whole life exept for his mom. Carefully, he put one of his hooves in the water. It felt so calm and it was like it had no temperature it was like there was no water at all! Before he knew it he stood in the water with all his four hooves and Cascada was right. The water was about 5 cm high. Cascada also walked into the water.
'You see, I told the truth, you can really trust me Desperado.'
Desperado couldn't believe it. That feeling... It was so new to him...

Cascada's hooves were glowing and there was rising water from the lake, That was Cascada's work. It stopped before Desperado's nose and then, the water turned into glass.
'I have to tell you something Desperado, please listen carefully. Every creature has a sort of mirror before them. Somewhere, some people find it easily but others have problems finding it. Everyone has to break that mirror, without breaking it, you'll stay stuck in life. You, didn't have problems with finding it, you found it not very long after your birth! That's pretty fast you know, most creatures find it when they're older. You my dear friend, have problems with breaking that mirror and I'm gonna help you with it.'
'How, how can you help me?' Desperado said.
'The mirror you see in front of you, is your mirror. Tell me, what do you see?'
'uhhh... myself?'
'Ok, do you see something else?
'no it's a damn mirror! I only see myself!'
'You have to look deeper inside that mirror Desperado! look at it.'
Desperado moved his head to the mirror and focused on it.
'I... I see myself as foal with my mom, she's very nice to me.'
'Good! This mirror shows you your life till now. What else do you see?'
'I see Charlie, She tries to strike my forhead but I turned my head away and bucked.'
'Why did you do that Desperado?'
'I don't know, I... I have no reason for it. I'm so mean to her but I don't know why.'
'I know why, you don't want to trust her, You didn't open your heart for her. Your mirror keeps you from loving her. That's why you have to break it. To love others.'
'But how do I have to break it? How? please tell me!' A tear flowed over his cheek.
'You just broke it. You showed your emotions and you really want to love others.'

There were appearing cracks in the mirror and after a few seconds, the mirror shattered it many pieces and fell back into the water. There was nothing left of it because when the shattered pieces touched the water, they turned into water again.

'You broke it Desperado, you're free now, go help your friends, they'll need you fighting by your side and Charlie needs you the most.'
'Thank you Cascada, thank you for helping me break my mirror.'
'Your'e welcome, but you really have to go now.'
'Why don't you come with me? You can help us fight and you can heal wounded people.'
'I can't come with you Desperado, you really have to go alone. I'll stay here in my lake. This war will causes for the end of something and I have to find out what.'
'Ok than.'
Desperado galopped away back into the bushes, running to the battle field, to his (new) friends.
